TEXAS RIP FASTPITCH COACHES
This Texas Rip Fastpitch team is fortunate enough to have very experienced and knowledgeable coaches teaching the players all aspects of the game to help them succeed on and off the field.
Co-Head Coach: Shannon Kimberling
Shannon is one of the
most experienced select ball coaches around, having played and coached the game
at all levels. Her credentials include -
Selected All State in 1988.
Was on the Junior Olympic Team and represented the USA in the Holland World Games in 1989.
Played at Oklahoma State University as a catcher and second baseman from 1989-1992.
Some of the honors she received during college were - All Big 8 First Team, All Big 8 Tournament Team, All Region and All Tournament Team in the College World Series.
Won the Big 8 Championship from 1989-1992.
Had College World Series appearances in 1989 and 1990. Finished 3rd both years.
Played professional baseball with the Colorado Silver Bullets in 1995 as a catcher.
In 1998 made the final cut in the USA Olympic team tryouts for the 2000 Olympic team as a catcher at the US Training Facility in Chula Vista, California. (Eventually losing out to, then future gold medalist, Stacey Nuveman.)
Coached at Oklahoma State University from 1992-1994 as an assistant coach/recruiter.
Coached at Joshua Middle School from 1997-1999.
Head Softball Coach at North Crowley High School from 1999-2000.
Coached High Voltage Gold Fastpitch softball team fom 2002-2009.
Joined Burleson Police Department in 2000.
Currently employed as Detective Over Crimes Against Children.
